How to make a keto egg bread recipe
This keto keto flour recipe is a really easy egg bread to make!
Keto eggs are very low carb and you can use the egg to make this keto batter too!
If you don’t have eggs you can always use coconut flour or almond flour to make it keto friendly.
To make this egg bread you will need 2 cups of flour (I used a standard flour recipe, it doesn’t matter if you use a high or low quality flour) 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 tablespoons unsweetening chocolate chips 1/3 cup sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon, toasted, or nutmeg To make the filling, place the flour, butter, baking powder, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Add the eggs, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Mix until well combined.
Then add in the remaining ingredients, mixing well to combine.
You can use a food processor if you want, or a handheld blender if you prefer.
The dough will start to come together, but a little bit of work will result in the dough forming into a ball.
Add more flour if necessary.
You will want to knead the dough for about 30 seconds to 1 minute to get it to hold together.
Remove the dough from the bowl and cover with plastic wrap to rest for 10 minutes.
Make the filling by mixing together the chocolate chips, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Using your hands, gently form the mixture into a 1/8-inch thick ball.
Sprinkle on a few drops of almond butter or coconut oil.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Recipe Notes This ketos egg bread is gluten free and low carb too.
If you’re using gluten free flour or other low carb flour, adjust the baking powder and salt accordingly.
